About Sharyn Winters
My name is Sharyn Winters, I am an artist, now residing in a small town at the base of the Cascade
Mountains.
I began painting at a very young age, around 15 years old. However, after graduating from high school,
I married, as many young women did then. And with the raising of five children, I did a lot of crafting,
but couldn`t afford the cost of paint and canvases, so unfortunately that fell by the wayside.
Later, I tried dabbling in oils, and enjoyed that, and eventually also in watercolors.
However, now in my later years, as I am 79 years old, my life has been wonderfully renewed by my time
now spent in creating abstract, acrylic paintings that seem to now just pour out of my head.
Sometimes hard to sleep because there are so many images presenting themselves to me, and what a
gift, yet hard to keep track of.
I hope what I have done, and will be doing will be pleasurable to all of you who take the time to observe
them.
You will find my paintings signed SHALAH, which stands for Sharyn, Lioness At Heart.
